Watching & Waiting

Today we visited Marlborough Helicopters and Omaka Museum. Group A is pictured waiting for a helicopter to take off so we can go and look at the helicopters in the hanger.

Future Pilots!

These children are investigating the mechanics of flying a helicopter. Perhaps there are some future pilots amongst them.

Pine Valley Picnic

Here are some photos of our class trip to Pine Valley. As you can see the children and parents (and teachers) had an exciting day.

Milo Cricket

Last night I went and watched some of the children in our class who are doing the Milo Cricket sessions at Horton Park. They are learning how to bat, bowl and field the ball. It looked like they were really enjoying themselves.

Alliterations

Dr Seuss uses alliterations in many of his books. We have been learning how to write our own alliterations.

Soccer Boys

Last night I went to watch some of the boys in our Room playing Summer Soccer. They chased the ball all over the place and looked like they were having a great time. The game was a 1 all draw. Well done!

Planet Earth and Beyond

Papier- mache

As part of our Planet Earth and Beyond Inquiry we are making alien masks. We are using papier-mache to create the base before we start painting. It takes a lot of patience and involves getting rather messy but it is loads of fun!

New seal by our new classroom

Last week the men came to put the new seal down in front of our new classroom. The machines had to keep the seal hot and then roll it nice and flat. It was very smelly. The teacher went out to help with the traffic while the big trucks were here.
